Happy Thursday

McCoy has been learning so much lately. He can now say about 10 words that we understand and has many other word that only he understands. He follows instructions and can understand what Trevor and I say to him. McCoy can identify almost all the parts of his face as well as his head, toes (which he can say as well), hands, fingers and belly is his favorite. No matter what he's doing, if you ask him, "McCoy, where's your belly?" He immediately responds by pulling his shirt up and squishing his stomach in with his hand as if his belly is some sort of jell-o.
Another thing that McCoy has been learning to do is feed himself. He really enjoys feeding himself, although it does take him a lot longer to accomplish the task, he does end up eating more-which is splendid. Trevor was having a hard time getting him to spoon things out of a bowl with out the bowl slipping around. I received this picture at work one day with Trevor's new invention.

McCoy has also discovered our utensil drawer in the kitchen. He's now tall enough and strong enough to open the drawer by himself and pull everything in that drawer out of it. His newest favorite utensil to play with is the pizza cutter. Of course, because it resembles a wheel. In fact, he even drives it around like it is a car. He loves it.

A few weeks ago, Trevor and McCoy went to a Rugby game. McCoy loves being outside and sometimes a little too much. He had already gotten enough sun for the day and it was really hot. Trevor was trying to come up with an idea to keep McCoy cool and happy. I laughed when I saw these pictures. The head band didn't make McCoy too happy but he actually liked the turban idea dad came up with when he got this shirt wet and rapped it on McCoy's head. But hey, at least it kept him cool and kind of out of the sun.

Random pictures of the day:) I couldn't help it.

This is one of Trevor's many outfits that he puts on him...more like just adds to what he was wearing. The shorts are his pj shorts, the shoes are more like sock shoes, with no socks, his onesie is unbuttoned (we call it his barn door/flap/loin cloth....etc, when it's hanging out like that ) and then he's wearing his jacket on top of it all. On a regular basis, I usually come home to a little boy looking kind of homeless. Although Trevor doesn't have the best taste in what to put McCoy in, at least he is a willing father to make sure McCoy is always enjoying himself. They're always doing so many fun things. Trevor makes sure he's fed, had good naps and always bathed. McCoy and he have bonded so well in the past few months. They're inseparable little buddies now. I LOVE IT!!

There is sunshine in my soul!

The weather was so nice last week and we were so lucky to have time off from school and work to enjoy it. My parents are letting us borrow a baby seat that is made for a bicycle. McCoy absolutely loves it! It's the best thing we could ever use. McCoy loves anything with wheels and since he's obviously too small to ride any bike, this seat has given us the best chance to let him enjoy the wheels of a bike to it's fullest. He couldn't be happier!

During that week we also got the chance to go to the park with cousin Steele and Emily. McCoy and Steele both absolutely love being out in the warm sun and now that they're both big enough to play on the big toy themselves, it makes it that much better. (Link below)
Of course, here's McCoy playing in the sand and enjoying it more than anything else.
There was a river right by the park we were at up the Provo Canyon. McCoy loved that too. In fact, after showing him how cold the water was by putting his hands in it, he still wanted to go running right into the water.

We finally helped him to realize that throwing rocks into the river was a lot more fun and he enjoyed that for about 20 min.

We brought my longboard up the canyon with us and it was really fun to ride on it with the boys. McCoy is crying in the picture because he never wanted the ride to stop but at the bottom of the hill, of course we had to go back to the top before we could keep going...this didn't make him too happy, until we starting going down again:) (Link Below)

The next day, Trev and I packed everything up to go on a fun camping trip. Trevor's sister, Nicole went with us and I had made some delicious tinfoil dinners for that night. (Link Below)
Check out his little camping chair! He seriously loved that thing. I know I've showed other pictures of him in it but since he could sit in a chair like that while we were sitting in similar chairs made him love it even more.
McCoy took this picture of Daddy and Aunt Nicole.
We brought our little scooter with us up there and like I've mentioned before, McCoy will do anything to play with wheels or anything that has wheels. Trev finally figured out a way to ride on the scooter with him. Check it out, it's super cute. (Link Below)

There was a spot full of gravel and McCoy played in it like it was sand. It kept him happy for quite some time while we finished setting up camp.
 Enjoying the fire with Daddy!

McCoy went down pretty well that night. We packed so many blankets and got him bundled up to stay warm for the night. At about 2:30 in the morning, we woke up to the smell of throw up. Our poor little man had thrown up in his bed and was really sick. We packed up what we needed and headed back down the mountain and slept the rest of the night at Traci's. Poor guy threw up like 6 times that night and he was sick throwing up for the next 3 days. Here's a video that Trev took the day after the camping trip. (Link Below)
Since it's been a tad rainy lately and we were so used the being out in the sun so much, we found a way to keep McCoy kind of entertained on our days off. He loves it! Check it out! (Link Below)

World's Longest Post

I have to warn you...you might need to set at least an hour aside to look at this post. It was just going to be a few pictures but then we took all the pictures and videos off Trevor's phone and we ended up with more than we could hope for. There's a ton of videos down at the bottom so don't forget to watch those too. It was so fun to watch all the videos and see all the pictures so hopefully you enjoy all of it as well.

Trev and I were dying to get outside and do something adventurous. We packed McCoy up, got all bundled up and headed up the Provo mountains to hike the "Y." It was so good to get outside and get our bodies moving. It wasn't the warmest day but the cool air made the hike a little easier.

McCoy of course had the best ride in this sweet backpack. He fell asleep and was out. He stayed asleep for the transfer from the pack to the car, from the car to his bed and slept for almost 4 hours. Poor guy just wanted to sleep.

Here's a video...Enjoy! (Link below)

Our poor little son needed a hair cut so badly! Seriously, look at this kid's hair...almost as if his parents don't love him. But we oh so do love him and realized the need for this cut. It was quite the challenge to get this little monster to hold still but we finally persevered.

Ta Da!!!....SO MUCH BETTER!!
McCoy has discovered this "Cheese" smile lately. It's his favorite thing. You'll have to excuse Trevor's immodesty. McCoy makes up for it though with his sick Batman pj's.

Trevor has been going through our "outdoors" closet and found this little chair. McCoy loves it. He wanted to sit in it all day long.
Look at how comfortable he looks with his feet crossed and all.

I came home from my 10 hour day at 7:30 and found Trevor and McCoy sound asleep taking their "afternoon" nap. McCoy woke up a few minutes later and about an hour later he was down for the night.

Look at how dirty McCoy's face is. It's not as clear as it really was that night. It was definitely the dirtiest I've ever seen my son's face. But those lips, how can you not want to just squeeze his little face and kiss those puckered lips? :)
Check out McCoy's sweet sport shorts. he loves those things and so do we. They're a little big but because of all little kids proportions being the way they are, we couldn't help but to let him enjoy them now since they're so stinkin' cute anyway.
Here's a movie of him and Trev outside in our hall playing.I laughed so hard when I saw this. You'll know what I'm talking about when you watch it...(Link Below)

 Again the cheeser.
We went to Nana B's last night for Easter and McCoy and Ruby always love their reunions. McCoy is so sweet and loves to give hugs. He's so gentle too which is very surprising. Ruby definitely has a bubble and only allows about 5 seconds of McCoy's hugs. I don't blame her though because McCoy isn't always that gentle with her. Only during hug time is McCoy gentle and soft.
Here they are playing on the piano and having a blast together. I'm so glad they pay together now. They entertain each other so well now and I love to see them interact together.

Check out his video of them going crazy! (Link Below)
I also found these pictures too when Ruby came to visit...as you can see, Ruby is pushing McCoy away, probably becuase McCoy is getting in here bubble again :)

...I love these two munchkins!

McCoy got this really cute Sunday outfit from my mom when he was born. I couldn't wait until he fit into it and it's cuter than I thought it could be....probably because my son is in it and he's the cutest little man ever! (Link Below)

McCoy loves strawberries. He could eat an entire pound if I let him. I bought some strawberries from Costco to make strawberry shortcake for a family dinner and I found about 5 strawberries that were the size of an apple. We stripped McCoy down and let him go at them. McCoy dove into eating these strawberries like he had never tasted something so delicious.

This video is from a while ago but thought I would share. (Link Below)

Another few things McCoy loves to play with are shoes. He loves to try and put them on where they're his size or not. Here's a couple videos of him playing with them. (Links Below)

Here are some other random videos we found on Trev's phone.
I'm so unbelievably happy that it's finally starting to warm up. We've been taking a lot more trips to the park and now that McCoy is a lot bigger he can actually play on the Big Toy and go down the slides himself.
Kind of a random movie but I loved it. Especially McCoy's little march he does. he loves being up on things and this little box seemed like a mountain to him.
